Bomb Threats Turned Out to be False

Kingston Police continue to investigate a couple of hoaxes that tied up valuable emergency services Saturday night in the downtown core.

Officers responded to two separate bomb threats involving downtown establishments between midnight and 2: 00 a.m., but both turned out to be pranks.

Police are now looking into the source of the complaints and say criminal charges will be laid if and when they find out who is responsible.

Police want everyone to be aware that this type of hoax is not a joke and an extremely serious matter.

If you have any information about who is responsible for either prank, call Police at 613-549-4660.
