Canadian Cancer Trials Group Receives $23.5-M in Funding
A local trials group has been given over $23-million in funding over the next five years from the Canadian Cancer Society.
The Canadian Cancer Trials Group, which is associated with Queen’s University, is world renowned in cancer research.
The group is said to have the safest, most effective cancer clinical trials research in Canada.
The group is currently investigating new treatment approaches to customize care, based on an individual’s genetics, environment and lifestyle.
This money marks the largest donation ever given out by the Canadian Cancer Society.
