Canadian Red Cross Offers Assistance to the Township of Central Frontenac

The Canadian Red Cross will provide support to those affected by the September 21 storm in Central Frontenac Township.

Environment Canada recently confirmed that a downburst in Sharbot Lake was responsible for causing signifcant property damage in the area.

About 25 homes and cottages were damaged in the storm, along with docks, sheds, garages, vehicles and boats.

The Red Cross is reaching out to all who have registered and is providing financial aid to some of the most vulnerable people impacted by the storm, including those who do not have insurance to help with their immediate basic needs
