Councillor George to Apologize for Behaviour

An apology will be issued at next week's city council meeting following an immature move by Councillor Kevin George.

It happened Tuesday night, after council voted to reject a plan to build a semi-detached house on Victoria Street next to Winston Church Public School.

After he stood in Council Chambers to back up the project,  George sat down and then made a gesture to the middle of the room with his two pointer fingers, like a gun, and made a shooting noise, like little kids do.

Councillor Mary Rita Holland saw what happened and raised the issue to Council.

George later admitted that he let emotions get the best of him.
