Downtown Kingston Buskers Rendezvous Celebrates 30 Years

The 30th annual Buskers Rendezvous kicks off in Downtown Kingston on Thursday, July 5, and runs until Sunday, July 8.

There will be several road closures in effect as a result of the event.

Ontario Street will be closed from Brock to Clarence and from Clarence to Johnson, Thursday and Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; on Saturday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Princess Street will be off limits to vehicle traffic from Bagot to Wellington between 12:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day.

Market Street from Ontario to King will be closed each day from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Sydenham Street will be shut down from Princess halfway to Queen Thursday to Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Princess Street will be closed from Division to Barrie on Saturday, July 7 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. for the Fire Show.

If you are heading downtown from the city's east end, keep in mind that the Lasalle Causeway will be closed overnight for the next couple of days.

The bridge will close nightly from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. between July 6 and 8, to allow Public Services and Procurement Canada to make repairs to the bridge.

Pedestrians and cyclists will have access to the sidewalk, but may have to wait up to 30 minutes to cross.
