Drug Charges Laid Following Search Warrant in Verona

A woman, 51, from South Frontenac Township and a man, 54, from Rochester New York are facing multiple drug related charges following a search warrant at a home in Verona.

According to the OPP, the search warrant executed on May 2, resulted in the seizure of small quantities of methamphetamine, marihuana, and cannabis resin as well as various stolen property items.

The man was also wanted by the Canadian Border Services Agency on an immigration warrant and was turned over to the CBSA upon release.

Charges laid include; possession of property bbtained by brime Over $5,000, possesion of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking - opioid.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in court on June 14.
