Environment Canada Issues Special Weather Statement
A major snowstorm is forecast to hammer Southern Ontario to start March Break 2017.
The storm system will start in the west Monday morning and make its way to Kingston by Tuesday morning.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement predicting 10 to 15 centimetres of snow for our area by the time we wake up on Wednesday.
When you couple the snow with gusty northeast wind gusts, meteorologists say it could cause blowing snow and reduced visibility on area roadways.
Areas to the west, including Niagara and Hamilton, are under a winter storm warning and could see snowfall amounts closer to 30 centimetres.
Temperatures are also expected to remain on the chilly side for most of the week.
