Fire Destroys Family Home in City's North End

A family of eight has been left homeless after flames tore through their Weller Avenue Townhouse yesterday morning.

Kingston Fire and Rescue arrived on scene around 9: a.m., and neighbours had already jumped into help, kicking in the front door to alarm whoever was inside.

No one was home at the time but a dog, who got out safely but hasn't been seen since.

The fire is believed to have started from a stove element that was accidently turned on.

Although damage is extensive, KFR have yet to release a dollar estimate.
