Former Local Choirmaster Found Guilty Again

Former Choir Master at St. George's Cathedral, Austen John Gallienne has been found guilty of three more indecent assault charges.

This is the 18th victim to come forward with sexual assault allegations against the 72 year-old with this latest incident dating back to the 1970s.

Gallienne was given three years of probation, plus a lifetime order restricting his contact with children, he's also forbidden from being alone with any boy under 16, and is required to participate in the Sex Offender Information registry for life.

Gallienne was first sentenced in October 1990 to four and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to 20 sexual abuse charges involving 13 boys spanning a period of more than a decade.
