Good Samaritan Rescues Child Found Outside in Extreme Cold
A Kingston man is being praised for his quick actions to rescue a 3 year-old boy with autism he found outside in minus 25 weather.
Police say the man was returning home to an apartment building early Saturday, when he heard a child crying and then spotted the boy, who was in pajamas and bare feet.
The man quickly got the child indoors called police.
Investigators say it appears the boy woke up, unlocked the door and left the apartment without waking his parents, on a night when there was an extreme cold warning and a wind chill of minus 38.
