Hundreds of Cyclists to Pass Through Kingston

Hundreds of cyclists will be touring the Kingston area between Cobourg and Picton on July 31, and August 1, for the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure, and the Friends for Life Bike Rally.

With so many bikes in the area at the same time, CAA is reminding drivers to stay alert, and keep safety and road rules top of mind.

Remember to keep a one-metre distance between your car and a cyclist, and make sure you are vigilant when exiting your vehicle to prevent dooring.

Most of the cyclists involved will be coming through Kingston on the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, but you may spot them in town exploring the city by bike.

In the Kingston area, some portions of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail are on-road which include, County Road 33 and on Wolfe Island, County Roads 95 and 96.
