Input Wanted on Active Transportation Master Plan
Your input is needed on the city's short term active transportation priorities.
There will be a drop in session to give your feedback at Woodbine park from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2.
"Walk'n'Roll outlines what the City is going to do to encourage residents to choose active forms of transportation, such as walking or cycling," says Mark Dickson, transportation engineer.
Now we are asking for help determining the priority order of the short-term pieces of this plan - and for input on a bike parking system that could be incorporated into the plan."
The active transportation master plan, also known as Walk'n'Roll, is the City's outline to achieve a 20 per-cent active transportation mode share by 2034.
The goal is for at least one in every five trips to be made using some form of active transportation.
