Kingston City Council Preview: April 17
City Council will be asked to consider spending money to make Kingston's waterfront more safe and accessible at its meeting on Tuesday night.
The Limestone Boat and Board Club wants to partner with the city to build a public dock, small boat launch and boat shed at Rotary Park for an estimated cost of $340,000, $150,000, of which the board is willing to pay.
Councillors will consider spending more than $665,000 to hire a contractor to raise the height of three docks at the marina in Confederation Basin
The move follows last year’s record-high water levels on Lake Ontario that caused flooding along some shoreline properties.
