Kingston Man Faces New Charges After Fleeing Police
A Kingston man, 32, on probation with previous firearms convictions faces new charges after fleeing Police on Wednesday afternoon.
The Kingston Police Street Crime Unit were able to track him down easily thanks to a his a GPS ankle bracelet he was fitted with back in December.
During their investigation, officers say they found a bag that he dropped which contained an Airsoft gun with pellets, and marijuana.
The accused, who is well known to Police, received four separate firearms prohibitions between 2009 and 2013, three of which were life-long.
The man was most recently charged in December for drug trafficking, possession of a weapon and possession of stolen property and was released with various conditions including a curfew, to stay with his surety, not to be in possession of drugs or weapons.
