Kingston Police Make Arrests in Dawn House B&E

Kingston Police believe they know who is responsible for the break and enter at Dawn House Women's shelter.

Police launched an investigation that led them to two different homes on Milford Drive and when search warrants were executed, officers recovered a large volume of copper wire along with tools and other items believed to be stolen.

Three men ages 24, 32, 27 and one woman aged 23 were arrested on Thursday and charges are pending as officer's sort through the recovered property.

Copper piping was stolen and electrical wiring was cut  throughout Dawn House on Milford Drive, sometime between Sunday afternoon on April 11 and Monday morning, causing about $70,000 in damage.

The shelter was scheduled to open in late June.
