Kingston Police Nab Suspected Drug Dealer

The Kingston Police Drug Unit nabbed a Toronto man who they say was coming into the City with Drugs and a gun on Wednesday afternoon.

The man, 23, was arrested at the VIA Rail station, as part of an investigation relating to drug related conversations and activity.

When officers approached the accused as he got off the train, he fled on foot but police caught up with him quickly in the north east end of the parking lot.

He was charged with possession of a controlled drug for trafficking and 15 weapons related offences.

During a search of the accused, officers seized a semi-automatic handgun with a magazine containing six hallow point rounds, a bag of suspected crystal meth worth $25,000 and cash.
