Kingston Students Invited to Create Their Own Summer Job
Students are encouraged to create their own summer job with the Summer Company Program.
If you know an ambitious , creative, young person with an entrepreneurial spirit, they could qualify for a grant of up to $3,000 to own, operate, and manage a summer business of their own design.
“We have seen many different business ideas come to life and it is quite rewarding to see some of the past participants and their businesses that continue to operate and thrive today in our local economy," says Katie Ross, Business Development Officer, Kingston Economic Development Corporation.
You can get a glimpse of the 2016 participants and their businesses by clicking here.
"We can’t wait to meet this year’s students and hear about their plans to be their own boss for summer 2017.”
Students returning to school in the fall between the ages of 15 and 29 are eligible to apply.
