Kingston Transit and LDSB Reveal Bus Wrapped in Youth-Created Art

A Kingston Transit bus wrapped in student art is now on the road.

The bus featuring 36 paintings and drawings from students in the Creative Arts Focus Program at LCVI was revealed on Monday morning.

A range of media are represented in the finished artwork including; water colour, pencil crayon, powdered graphite, pencil, acrylic paint, collage, and oils.

When Kingston Transit was brainstorming ideas for a new, innovative bus wrap at the beginning of 2017, it came up with the idea to invite local high school students to design a mural for a bus wrap that would incorporate all the benefits of, and reasons for, using public transit.

Kingston Transit will use the student-designed bus wrap for student orientation programs throughout the city, as well as in its express and local service for the year.
