Kingston Woman Charged in Child Sex Abuse Investigation

A Kingston woman, 46, has been charged as part of a historical child sexual abuse investigation.

The Toronto Police Service arrested Jacquelyn Laronde along with Martin Galloway, 56, of  London, on grounds that 12 to 14 years ago the pair allegedly made arrangements with a parent online to sexually abuse a child.

At the time of the incident, Laronde was known as Sean O'Toole.

She is charged with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference and was scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.

Laronde is a well known community activist and is the co-chair for Kingston Pride, and is listed online as the acting program development coordinator at the Canadian Mental Health Association's Kingston branch.
