They are; Central Kingston Secondary School, Gord Downie Secondary School, Kingston Secondary School, Kingston Central Secondary School, and Namwayut Secondary School, which means “We Are All One.”
Members of the committee were asked to submit their preferred name from the recommended names being submitted to the Board of Trustees for consideration.
In order of support, the results are as follows:

Trustees are scheduled to hold an official vote at their meeting on Wednesday, March 21.
The new school, being built on the former site of QECVI, is now expected to be open for the 2019-2020 school year.
