Local Man Wanted for Bank Robbery

Kingston Police continue to search for a man who robbed the CIBC bank at the corner of Brock and Bagot Streets Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect entered the branch around 3:00 p.m. carrying a duffel and approached a teller.

The accused allegedly had a knife in the bag and demanded money, before fleeing the scene with a quantity of cash.

A search for the man led police to an apartment building about two blocks away from the bank.

The tactical unit was stationed outside 205 Bagot for over an hour, with their weapons drawn, before a search warrant was executed, but the man was not found inside.

Police have identified their suspect as Michael James Behan, 52, of Kingston.

Behan is described as 5 foot 9, 214 pounds, who is balding with a beard.
