Local Youths Charged Following Break In

Three teens have been arrested after Police say they broke into and vandalized a school portable.

Around 4:00 a.m. Monday, a school portable on Seventh Avenue was broken into.

Police say wires were torn out of a utility closet, a fire extinguisher was discharged and windows were smashed out.

Officers  were called after a fire alarm went off in the main school and officers observed a 15 year-old climbing out a window.

He ran from police but was apprehended on Kingscourt Avenue.

The other two youth, aged 16 and 17, were arrested after fleeing out the front doors.

All three teens were charged with break and enter, possession of break-in tools and six counts of mischief.

Further investigation revealed the accused were also responsible for damaging the tires of up to five vehicles in the area.
