Loyailst Township Man Charged with Firearms Offences
A Loyalist Township man has been charged with firearms offences.
The charges stem from an incident more than a year ago, where Police were called to a home in Tweed after the homeowner reported gun shots were fired at a vehicle parked in the driveway.
Officers attended the scene to investigate damage sustained to the rear portion of a pickup truck and confirmed it was likely caused by a firearm.
The home owners were in their residence when the damage occurred, and no one was injured.
On Wednesday, August 1, James Morey, 33, was arrested.
He's been charged with; Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Careless Use of a Firearm, Mischief Over $5000, and Mischief under $5000.
Morey is scheduled to appear in court on August 23, 2018.
