Man Charged Following Break and Enter at Humane Society

A Kingston man, 39, is facing charges after Police say officers found him at a break-and-enter scene with a knife, holding a missing three-legged dog.

Police got an alarm notification from the Humane Society around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say the rear employee entrance door was damaged, and a small three-legged dog brought in after being found roaming the streets was missing.

An officer found the accused hiding with the missing dog in a garbage bag on his lap.

One he was confronted, it's alleged the man initially wielded a knife, but dropped it upon command.

The unidentified man has been charged with break and enter, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
