Man Charged with Assault and Uttering Threats
A Kingston man, 23, has been arrested after Police say he assaulted his girlfriend and threatened to kill the children if she called police.
On Saturday, December 2, the victim confronted the accused over returning Christmas gifts purchased for the children, for money she suspected he was using for drugs.
Police say that's when the accused punched the victim in her ribs causing her to fall to the ground.
Then on Monday, the victim confronted the accused over his alleged drug addiction and he became angry, allegedly grabbing the victim by her throat and throwing her to the floor.
When the woman tried to leave the home with the kids, Police say the man threatened to kill their children if she called for help.
The victim was eventually able to flee the home and contact Police.
The accused was arrested without incident, and charged with two counts of assault and uttering threats.
