Man Charged with Assaulting LCBO Security

A Kingston man, 26,  faces several charges following an alleged assault on security guards at a liquor store.

The incident happened last Thursday around 5:00 p.m., when police say the accused attempted to walk out of the LCBO on Princess Street with two bottles of liquor in his pants.
When confronted by security, police say the suspect refused to give the bottles back and a a struggle ensued.

The man allegedly grabbed one of the guards and smashed his head through a glass wall.

A customer then helped security subdue the man, and he was taken into police custody.

The accused was arrested and charged with theft, assault, and breach of probation.

The victim suffered a laceration over his eye.
