Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Step-Daughter

A Kingston man, 57, has been arrested after the Kingston Police Sexual Assault Unit began investigating him for sexual assault against his step-daughter.

The victim was out of town visiting other family members with her mother, and during a discussion about the "MeToo" movement, the victim made comments that led to a private conversation with her mother.

During the discussion, the woman disclosed the alleged sexual assaults to her mom.

Kingston Police were contacted last Tuesday, and an investigation revealed the accused sexually assaulted the victim on numerous occasions between 2005 and 2013.

The accused was arrested the next day.

He's been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference with a person under 14 years of age, sexual touching with a person under 14 years of age, sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age, and sexual touching with a person under 16 years of age.
