Montreal Woman Charged Following Police Pursuit

A  Montreal woman, 23, who was wanted by Toronto Police for fraud, flight from police and dangerous driving is in custody after a brief police chase early Friday afternoon.

Napanee OPP were called to help stop her vehicle on the 401 after police in Quinte West were unsuccessful.

OPP deployed a spike belt around noon, which was successful,  the woman's vehicle was stopped and she was arrested.

During the investigation Police discovered the driver was involved in a fail to remain collision in Toronto and in Northumberland.

Genevieve Crepeault was additionally charged with five counts each of being in possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with bail conditions.
