MP's Mourn the Sudden Death of Conservative MP Gord Brown

Members of Parliament from all political stripes are mourning the sudden death of Conservative M-P Gord Brown, who was found in his Parliament Hill office Wednesday.

The veteran MP has represented the nearby riding of Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes since 2004.

Brown, 57, has been described by members from all parties as a fun, accessible, and a well-liked member of Parliament with a great sense of humour.

Details about precisely what happened are still unclear, but Conservative party sources say Brown played hockey early Wednesday before coming to work.

Fellow Tory MP Tony Clement described Brown as a close friend for more than 35 years, and asked people to keep Brown's wife, Claudine, and their two sons in their thoughts.
