New Research Centre Unveiled at KGH
A new research centre has opened at Kingston General Hospital.
The 10,000-square-foot W.J. Henderson Centre for Patient-Oriented Research has been in the works for 10 years.
It will bring different researchers together under one roof and increases research space at the hospital by 25 per-cent.
The centre will be shared with Queen's University and was funded through more than 150 donations.
Those donations include $1.2 million from the Canada Foundation for Innovation, and $1 million from the W.J. Henderson Foundation.
The new centre will also provide a dedicated space for phase one and two clinical trials.
