Kingston Man Faces Concealed Weapons Charges

A local man, 28, of no fixed address, faces concealed weapons charges after he was found in possession of a loaded revolver style CO2 gun, while on probation.

On Tuesday around 8:30 p.m., police got a call around about a man with a handgun near Montreal and Joseph Streets.

Police say two men were located, searched, and one of them had a gun hidden in his backpack with loaded simulated bullets in gold casings, filled with BB pellets, an open bag of 500 BB pellets, and 10 additional CO2 cartridges.

The accused, who is on probation, is not allowed to be in possesion of a weapon, so he was arrested and held for a bail hearing.

He has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of breach probation.
