RMC Places 9th in Annual Competition

The team from Kingston's Royal Military College placed ninth at the gruelling, two day, Sandhurst Military Skills Competition over the weekend.

The team is made up of nine officer cadets who worked together to overcome a tough course full of obstacles, including; navigation tasks, tough terrain, and weapons tasks.

Last year, the team from RMC took the top spot, however this year they just cracked the top 10 from a field 62 teams from 12 countries.

"The remarkable young women and men representing RMC put in months of rigorous training, guided by our dedicated military and fitness staff," says Brigadier-General Sean Friday, Commandant, Royal Military College of Canada.

"Their commitment and perseverance shows the kind of character that Canadians expect and can be proud of in our RMC Officer Cadets."
