United Way Announced New 2017 Volunteer Campaign Chair

Pat Murphy, of the Secura Financial Group, has been announced as the 2017 volunteer Chair of the United Way of KFL&A's Annual 12 week long fundraising campaign.

Murphy is a long time volunteer with the United Way and says he "looks forward to working with so many champions of the United Way, helping to change lives right here in our community.  Everyone can make a difference - by donating or volunteering, stepping up to help people in need."

He will officially take over for the 2016 chair, Brigadier General Stephen Kelsey, on September 8.

"Pat has been a volunteer with the United Way for many years," says Caroline Davis, Chair of the United Way Board of Directors.
"We are delighted to have him in this leadership role and I know he will do a wonderful job."

The United Way annual campaign is the largest community organized fund-raising effort, helping thousands of people through collective action, raising funds that will then be invested in local programs. It wouldn't be possible without the support of thousands of volunteers in the community.
