Women Uses ID to Steal $12,500 From Victims Bank Account

Police need your help identifying a woman who allegedly stole $12,500 from a victim’s bank account by using a fake ID to access her debit account.

On December 9, 2016, Police say the woman went to a bank in Kingston posing as the victim and told them she needed a new debit card because she had forgotten hers in Calgary.

The suspect presented the bank what appeared to be valid photo identification from Alberta and she was issued a debit card for an existing account.

Police say the suspect withdrew a large quantity of cash then left and attended other branch locations in Kingston where she made more withdrawals totaling more than $12,500.

The fraud was discovered when the real account holder who actually lives in Calgary, tried to use her debit card but was declined.

The female suspect is described as 5’6’”-5’10”, slim build, long blonde hair with purple and pink undertones.
