One Fatality in Central Frontenac House Fire

One person has died following a house fire in Central Frontenac Township.

Central Frontenac Fire and Rescue responded to the blaze on Townline Road Wednesday night with a person and pets still inside.  

Firefighters quickly entered the burning home to perform search and rescue where they found and removed one person.

Crews began resuscitation but the victim succumbed to their injuries.

The fire was quickly brought under control and there were no other occupants in the house.

The Fire Department and the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office will be investigating the cause of the fire.

No Firefighters were injured but pets also died as a result of the fire.

Wednesday afternoon, Central Frontenac Fire and Rescue responded to a reported house fire on Hannah Road.

When Firefighters arrived, the house was fully involved in fire but was brought under control within 30 minutes.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.
