Police Discover Marijuana Grow Up During Domestic Call
A Kingston man, 22, has been charged after police say officers responding to a domestic-disturbance call found a young child in a marijuana grow-op.
Officers who went to the west end home on Monday afternoon were told by a man and a woman that it was just a verbal argument.
Upon learning the woman was babysitting at the home, police say the officers went upstairs to check on the child's welfare and found not only the child, but two rooms full of approximately 30 marijuana plants.
The children's aid society was contacted and the accused was charged with unlawfully producing a controlled substance.
