Protestor Arrested Outside Grant Hall
A Kingston woman, 38, is facing numerous charges after allegedly causing damage during Monday's protest at Grant Hall and becoming violent with officers.
Police say the accused, who is not a student at Queen's, was standing on a ledge and began banging on the window - causing it to break.
She suffered a minor cut to her hand, and quickly fled the scene.
The accused was stopped by plain clothes officers at University and Stuart Street and that's when its alleged she began yelling at officers, resisting arrest.
Once she was handcuffed, Police say she became violent and began kicking at one officer, and attempted to kick out the curiser window while en route to police headquarters.
The accused was charged with mischief, assaulting police, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carrying a concealed weapon.
