Sheep Dog Trials Festival Kicks Off Friday

The 31st annual Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival returns to grass creek park on Friday, August 10.

The event will run right up until Sunday, August 12, with tons of family and pet friendly fun.

"This festival really has something for everyone to enjoy. We have a full day of family and pet friendly activities planned," says Emily Hatchette, assistant supervisor of special events.

"If you've never experienced this festival before, you are not going to want to miss this one!"

The sheep dog trials run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A free shuttle bus will run from the Toys R Us parking lot, the Kingston Memorial Centre, and the Marriott Hotel at Kings Crossing.

Dogs are welcome on the shuttle and at the event, but must be kept on a leash.

Tickets are 15 dollars per person and kids under 12, get in free.

The festival has made the Festivals and Events Ontario's Top 100 list for the past 11 years straight.
