Solar Eclipse Wows Kingstonians
All eyes were on the sky Monday afternoon.
Hundreds of people gathered in Confederation Basin where the Kingston branch of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, and astronomers from Queen’s and RMC had their telescopes set up.
While hundreds of safety glasses were available, they were snatched up in minutes.
People lined up from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. to catch a glimpse of the rare event through telescopes.
The next total solar eclipse is set for April 8, 2024, and Kingston will be in the path for an even better view.
