The Kingston East Business Association Supports Third Crossing
The Kingston East Business Association have partnered up with the Kingston BIA and Kingston Chamber of commerce and are in full support of building a bridge over the Cataraqui river.
It makes this the largest group of businesses to show support for any debate in the city's history.
"It is imperative that the public as well as the city council is aware of that at least 95% of the businesses both large and small who are members of all 3 organizations across the city of Kingston are in favour of the crossing," says President Derek Baylis.
During the May 10 meeting of the Downtown Kingston BIA Board of Management, members unanimously approved a motion to throw its support behind the third crossing and sent a letter to City Council urging them to approve the project.
The proposed third crossing will go to a vote at a special council meeting next week.
