Time-of-Day Parking Restrictions Now in Effect for Inner Harbour
On street parking is changing in the Harbour area.
Starting September 1, parking will not be allowed from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
You don't need a permit if you can park according to these time-of-use restrictions in this area bordered by:
- Queen, Division and Raglan above Sydenham Street
- Bay, Sydenham and Raglan above Montreal Street
- Bay, James and Wellington below Montreal Street
"This is a high-demand area for parking and this change is about managing that demand in a way that balances the needs of area residents, visitors to Rideaucrest Home, Providence Manor and commuters," says Kim Leonard, manager parking operations.
"This area is well-served by Kingston Transit on a route that has a Park & Ride."
There are only a limited number of on-street parking permits for the area, which are $83.25 a month.
Residents in the area will be offered on-street permits for $25 a month, or $12 a month for those who do not have on-site parking.
