Traffic Notes: April 3 - April 9

Work on the Front Road bridge will re-start on Monday, April 3 and you can expect slowdowns in that area until late August.

The next phase of building up the embankments over the railway tracks on John Counter Blvd continues this month, so also be prepared for delays in that area.

"The first layer of rock has had time to settle and it's now time to start adding the second layer of rock," says Mark Campbell, manager of construction for the City of Kingston.

"You are going to notice a lot of truck activity in the area. This all ends with a bridge over the tracks where trains now stop traffic dozens of times a day."

From 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., April 3, Cataraqui Woods Drive will be closed from Centennial to Clyde for watermain work.

King Street will be closed from The Tragically Hip Way to Place d’Armes on Tuesday, April 4 and Wednesday, April 5 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight for the Harlem Globetrotters event at the KRC.

To the east, the westbound passing lane on the 401 at the Highway 137 overpass and the Highway 137 off ramp will be closed for long-term road work.
