Traffic Stop Ends in a Drug Arrest

An early morning Traffic stop in Tyendinaga Township has resulted in drug charges for one man.

Just before 2:00 a.m. Thursday, officers with the Napanee OPP responded to a 911 call involving an erratic driver.

Officers located the vehicle traveling east bound on Highway 401 and stopped the driver.

A search of the vehicle turned up 215 grams of marijuana.

As a result, the driver, Joel Harrigan-Latendresse, 26, from Terrebonne, Quebec was charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with possession of a Schedule II Substance.

He is scheduled to appear in a Napanee courtroom on February 27, 2018.
