Two Men Charged Following 401 Takedown
OPP have issued an update to last week's dramatic pursuit and take down of two young men on the 401 near Brockville.
The westbound 401 was closed for several hours Thursday night for a traffic stop turned criminal investigation.
Leeds OPP say they received a driving complaint around 5:00 p.m. about the suspect's vehicle and attempted to pull over the driver.
However the driver refused and it escalated into a full-on pursuit.
A spike belt was deployed but unsuccessful in stopping the suspects.
OPP eventually used a rolling blockade technique to box in the suspect vehicle, ending the chase east of the Long Beach exit to County Road 2 around 6:30 p.m.
