Weekly Traffic Notes: October 9 - 15

George Street will be closed to thru traffic from Stuart to O'Kill Monday through Friday as construction continues at Botterell Hall on Queen's campus.

On Wednesday, October 11, from 7:00 a.m. to Noon, Market Street will be closed from Ontario to King to accomodate a crane hoist.

Expect delays and lane shifts in all directions of traffic at the intersection of King and Portsmouth from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12 and Friday, October 13 as Providence Care Hospital crews work to restore pavement.

Union Street will be closed from University to Division between 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  from Friday, October 13 to Sunday, October 15, for the Alma Mater Society Reunion Festival, kicking off Queen's Homecoming Weekend.

Over the next two months, contractors for the city will be patching up cracks and potholes on a number of streets, so you may run into some slow downs.

Delays will continue this week on Bath Road from Frontenac Secondary School to Vista Drive and on John Counter  from Sir John A. to Portsmouth.

Also, keep in mind that Division Street remains closed from Earl to William and William to Johnson.
