Woman Found Asleep Behind the Wheel

A woman from Wolfe Island, 37, was arrested early Tuesday morning, after being found asleep in her car.

Kingston Police were called to the pier on Ontario Street to check on a woman asleep behind the wheel of a car.

The officer who spoke to the accused and determined she had been drinking.

The woman was arrested for care and control of a motor vehicle while her ability to operate it was impaired by alcohol.

She was transported to police headquarters where police say she blew more than 1 and a half times over the legal limit, and was charged with Care and Control and Driving with over 80 mg of alcohol in her system.
