Work on Front Road Bridge to Re-Start Soon
Work on the Front Road bridge is set to resume soon.
On Tuesday, City Council will be asked to approve the contract with R.W Tomlinson Limited to complete the second phase of the project at a cost of $1.8-million.
Construction will include rebuilding the north side of the bridge over Little Cataraqui Creek.
Reconstruction of the bridge began in 2014 and was supposed to be completed by 2016 however the city fired the contractor originally hired to do the job last May.
At the time, the city said they made the decision after work was taking longer than anticipated and there was unforeseen costs.
