Youth Charged with Multiple Weapons Related Offences

A teenaged boy has been charged after Police say he shot another boy twice with a pellet gun during an altercation at the Cataraqui Centre.

The victim confronted the accused over an issue involving a family member on Monday, and that's when the accused lifted his shirt to expose what appeared to be a black handgun.

The victim tackled him to the ground and was allegedly shot twice before friends intervened and Police were called.

The accused, 17,  was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carry a concealed weapon.
