All That Remains Unveils Spring Tour; Guitarist's Widow Questions Song
All That Remains has announced a spring 2019 headlining U.S. tour that will kick off on May 30th in Amityville, New York and conclude on June 15th in Poughkeepsie, New York. The New England group is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, Victim Of The New Disease, which was released last November.
The band suffered a tragic loss last fall ahead of the album's release when its respected lead guitarist and founding member Oli Herbert, who played on all nine albums in the band's discography, was found dead at the edge of a pond near his home at the age of 44. Herbert's death is being investigated and treated as suspicious. Guitarist Jason Richardson has since joined the band.
Meanwhile, Herbert's widow Elizabeth Herbert has implied that she didn't sign off on the release of one of her husband's final recordings, a cover of Eurythmics' "Here Comes The Rain Again" laid down last year by Herbert and A Dead Desire's Moroni Silva. The latter finished the track after Herbert's death and uploaded an official music video for it to YouTube on April 5th.
Elizabeth wrote on her husband's Facebook page, "I am aware that something was released that contained my husband's work on it that was not finished before his death . . . if anything is to be released after Oli's death and it isn't All That Remains material, you need me, the executrix of the estate to sign off on it."
