Billie Eilish Makes Alternative Chart History With Multiple Chart-Toppers
Billie Eilish has become only the third female solo artist in history to achieve two Number One alternative singles. This week, Eilish earned her second chart-topper on the survey with "Bad Guy," according to Billboard. "Bury a Friend" previously hit the top spot for two weeks in May. Both tracks appear on Eilish's major label debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.
Eilish joins Alanis Morissette and Sinead O'Connor as the only female solo artists to have notched multiple Number One alternative singles. Morissette actually has three to her name, with "You Oughta Know," "Hand In My Pocket" and "Ironic" charting in 1995 and 1996.
The 17-year old Eilish has been acclaimed by the likes of Radiohead singer Thom Yorke and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, and is currently touring Europe.
In September and October, she'll appear at several homegrown festivals, including Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas, Atlanta's Music Midtown and Austin City Limits in the Texas capital.
